Our Curriculum
GCSE Citizenship gives students the opportunity to develop their political literacy and partake in democracy. Students will be learning about Life in Modern Britain including British Values, the UK’s role in international organisations and making a difference in society. Rights and Responsibilities will be explored linking to the legal system, universal human rights and bringing change to the legal system. Students will learn about Politics and Participation such as political power in the UK and bringing about political change. Citizenship will empower students to investigate and research an issue as part of an active citizenship campaign from encouraging the UK parliament to lower the voting age to campaigning to become a more sustainable school. Students will build lifelong skills and valuable members of their community.
