Community (Post 16)

Young people who choose Community, will have the opportunity to work together on various community projects inside and outside of the school, as well as visiting local places of interest and talks from local experts.

This year our young people have participated in many activities such as: raising money for charities; developing a mural with the aid of a local artist; visited beaches, parks, museums, art galleries and historic sites; learnt about global warming and how we can reduce our impact and helped to arrange and entertain at events such as Halloween and Christmas parties.

Community enables young people to gain self-confidence, improve social communication skills, develop friendships and make a difference. Experiences participated in during Community can contribute to an ASDAN qualification.

The Teacher
